Display and manage tasks

When you open
BlackBerry Tasks
, a list of your active tasks is displayed. By default, the list is synchronized with the tasks in your work email account when you open the app and at 15 minute intervals while it is open. You can change the synchronization interval. To force synchronization at any time, you can swipe down on the list. Synchronization continues when the app is minimized, but it stops when the app is closed.
Tasks in the task list are displayed with the following icons:
  • High priority: icon_high_priority
  • Low priority: icon_low_priority
  • Normal priority: icon_normal_priority
  • Recurrence: icon_recurrence
  • Category: icon_category
  1. Open
    BlackBerry Tasks
  2. Complete any of the following tasks:
    Task

    Change the synchronization interval.
    1. Tap The Settings icon.
    2. Tap
      Sync Settings
      >
      Sync Timeout
      .
    3. Select a synchronization interval.
    Specify the folders to synchronize.
    1. Tap The Settings icon.
    2. Tap
      Manage Synced Folders
      .
    3. Select the folders that you want to synchronize.
    Specify the tasks to display.
    1. At the top of the task list, tap a tab.
    2. Tap
      Manage Tabs
      .
    3. Tap a tab to display or hide the tasks associated with it. The options are: Active, Overdue, Due Today, Due This Week, Completed, or Due Now
    4. Optionally, press and hold the The Navigation drawer
                                                  icon beside a tab.
    5. Slide your finger up or down to move the tab left or right on the screen.
    6. To restore the default settings, tap The Menu icon >
      Restore Tabs
      .
    Change to order of tasks that displayed.
    1. Tap The Order Arrow Icon
    2. Tap The Ascend/Descend Icon
    Search for a task.
    1. In the rich-text toolbar, tap The Search icon.
    2. Enter your search criteria.
    Create a task.
    Tap icon_compose_new.
    Edit a task.
    Tap a task.
    Mark a task as complete.
    Tap The Mark task complete
