BlackBerry Dynamics SDK for Android
 version 6.0.1.83

What's new in the
BlackBerry Dynamics SDK for Android
 version 6.0.1.83

Required SDK changes
Feature
Description
Support for new
Android
Q restrictions to background activity starts
This release includes updates to support new
Android
Q restrictions to background activity starts.
This is a mandatory upgrade.
 You must update your
BlackBerry Dynamics
apps with the 6.0.1.83 SDK prior to the general release of
Android
Q to avoid any impact to services that leverage AppKinetics (also known as Inter-Container Communication or ICC). AppKinetics is a method for securely exchanging data and commands between two
BlackBerry Dynamics
apps on the same device (for more information, see the BlackBerry Dynamics SDK Development Guide). Examples of impacted services include the bringToFront method and Launcher.
If a
BlackBerry Dynamics
app that you’ve updated with the 6.0.1.83 SDK  attempts to communicate with a
BlackBerry Dynamics
app that uses an earlier version of the SDK, the following alert displays: “
<App name>
does not fully support the version of Android on this device. Please try updating the application to the latest version.”
