Upgrading your development environment

When a new version of 
BlackBerry UEM
 becomes available, you must do the following to upgrade your development environment:
  • Upgrade your dedicated development instance of 
    UEM
     to the new version. For instructions, see the UEM Installation Guide.
  • Download the new version of the SDK that is designed for use with the new version of 
    UEM
    . 
  • Complete all of the instructions in the Setting up your BlackBerry UEM plug-in development environment section of this guide with the new version of 
    UEM
     and the new SDK package. When you re-import your plug-in and run the integration process again (
    UEM Plug-in Tools > UEM Integration Setup
    ), clear the 
    Create Basic Plug-in Projects
     check box and select the 
    Regenerate launchers
     check box. The Regenerate launchers option is required to ensure that your plug-in uses the new 
    Eclipse
     launcher utilities for the 
    BlackBerry UEM Core
     and management console that are compatible with the upgraded 
    UEM
     environment.
