What are the upgrade paths from
Good Control
 to
BlackBerry UEM
If you have
Good Control
 version 4.0 and later and
Good Proxy
version 4.0 and later, you must first upgrade all instances to
BlackBerry UEM
version 12.7 or 12.8 and synchronize the environment before you can upgrade to
BlackBerry UEM
 version 12.9.
If you have an earlier version of
Good Control
 or
Good Proxy
, you must first upgrade it to
Good Control
 or
Good Proxy
version 4.0 or later, then upgrade to
BlackBerry UEM
12.7 or 12.8 and synchronize the environment before you can upgrade to
BlackBerry UEM
 version 12.9.
Does
BlackBerry UEM
 have two databases?
No. During the upgrade to
BlackBerry UEM
 version 12.9, data from the
Good Control
 database is merged into the
BlackBerry UEM
 database, and only the
BlackBerry UEM
database is used from that point forward.
Can
Good Dynamics
 enabled users be moved between
BlackBerry UEM
 domains?
No. You cannot move
Good Dynamics
 enabled users between
BlackBerry UEM
 domains.
BlackBerry UEM
 domain consists of a
BlackBerry UEM
 database and any
BlackBerry UEM
components that are associated with it.
Is there a migration tool or utility for migrating users, policies, and configuration information from
Good Control
 to
BlackBerry UEM
Yes. You can use the
BlackBerry UEM
management console to migrate users, devices, groups, and other data from a
Good Control
(standalone) server. To move data from
Good Control
 to
BlackBerry UEM
, the source
Good Control
server must be at version 5.0 and must not be integrated with
BES12
 or
BlackBerry UEM
in any way. For more information, refer to the BlackBerry UEM Configuration content.
Can multiple
Good Control
clusters be upgraded and consolidated into a single
BlackBerry UEM
 domain?
No. You must upgrade each
Good Control
 cluster to its own
BlackBerry UEM
 domain.
If you want to combine multiple
Good Control
clusters, you can upgrade one to
BlackBerry UEM
and then migrate users, devices, groups, and other data from the remaining
Good Control
 (standalone) clusters.
