.- If your environment uses multipleSkype for Businesson-premises servers using trusted application mode or non-trusted application mode, have theSkype for Businessservers load balanced with a load balance server. For more information about load balancing requirements, visit https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/skypeforbusiness/plan-your-deployment/network-requirements/load-balancing.
- If you configure your environment to useSkype for Business Online, have the following information:
- In theBlackBerry Enterprise Mobility Server Dashboard, underBlackBerry Services Configuration, clickConnect.
- If necessary, clickService Accountand enter theBEMSservice account credentials.
- ClickLync 2010,Lync 2013, orSkype for Business. The system queries the instant messaging server to verify that the appropriateBEMSinstant messaging server topology is added. This can take a few moments.
- Complete one of the following tasks:Instant messaging server in environmentTasksMicrosoft Lync Server2010 orMicrosoft Lync Server2013
- In theApplication IDdrop-down list, select<.appid_connect.mycompany.com>If the drop-down list is empty, either theBEMS<instant messaging server type> topology is not set up correctly or the service account does not have permissions to query these settings.
Skype for Business Online- Select theSkype for Business Onlinecheckbox.
- In theTenant name/IDfield, enter the tenant name for yourSkype for Business Online. If you need to connect to more than one tenant, entercommon.
- In theBlackBerry BEMS Connect/Presence Service App IDfield, enter theBlackBerryBEMSConnectservice App ID. For instructions on obtaining the app ID, see Obtain an Azure app ID for the BEMS-Connect, BEMS-Presence, and BEMS-Docs component service.
- In theBlackBerry BEMS Connect/Presence Service App Keyfield, enter theBlackBerryBEMSConnectservice app key. For instructions on obtaining the App Key, see Obtain an Azure app ID for the BEMS-Connect, BEMS-Presence, and BEMS-Docs component service.
- In theBlackBerry Connect Client App IDfield, enter theBlackBerry Connectclient app ID. For instructions, see Obtain an Azure app ID for the Connect client.
Skype for Businesson-premises using trusted application modeUsing this configuration, theConnectservice is trusted bySkype for Businessand can impersonate a user. End user authentication is not required on the device to accessBlackBerry Connect.- Select theSkype for Business On-Premisescheck box.
- SelectTrusted Application Mode.
- Beside theApplication IDdropdown list, clickBrowse. This step can take up to a minute to complete.
- In theApplication IDdrop-down list, select the app ID. For example,<.appid_connect.mycompany.com>If the drop-down list is empty, either theBEMS<instant messaging server type> topology is not set up correctly or the service account does not have permissions to query these settings.
- If you enable persistent chat in your environment, in thePersistent Chat Default Categoryfield, enter the default category. For more information on enabling persistent chat, see the BlackBerry Connect Administration content.
Skype for Businesson-premises using non-trusted application modeUsing this configuration, theConnectservice is not trusted bySkype for Businessand cannot impersonate a user. End user authentication on the device is required to accessBlackBerry Connect.- Select theSkype for Business On-Premisescheck box.
- SelectNon-trusted Application Mode.
- Complete one or both of the following actions:
- Select theAuto discover serverscheckbox to haveBEMSdiscover theSkype for Businessservers in the environment.
- Enter the defaultSkype for Businesson-premises FQDN or the complete URL to theSkype for Businessserver forBEMSto use if autodiscovery is not enabled or fails. For example, http(s)://<BEMS-FQDN>/Autodiscover/AutodiscoverService.svc/root/oauth/user.
Skype for BusinessandSkype for Business Online- Complete the tasks forSkype for Business OnlineandSkype for Businesson-premises using trusted application mode or non-trusted mode.
- ClickTestto verify that theAzureinformation is accurate.
- Complete one or both of the following actions to log in to the user account:
- If you configure the environment to useSkype for BusinessOn-Premises
- ClickTest.
- Enter a user email address and password.
- ClickTest.
- If you configure the environment to useSkype for Business Online
- ClickTest.
- Sign in to a user account.
- ClickSave.
Depending on your environment configuration, you can configure
BEMS
to allow users to provision the BlackBerry Connect
app using an email address that is different from the email address used to login to Skype for Business Online
.
