to a software configuration and assign the software configuration to user accounts to install the BlackBerry Java Application
on BlackBerry
OS (version 5.0 to 7.1) devices over the wireless network. To upgrade an app, you must add the new version of the app to the appropriate software configuration. BlackBerry UEM
upgrades the app that is on BlackBerry
OS devices to the new version.- On the menu bar. clickBlackBerry OS Settings.
- ExpandSoftware.
- ClickManage software configurations.
- Click the software configuration that you want to add aBlackBerry Java Applicationto.
- ClickEdit software configuration.
- On theApplicationstab, clickAdd applications to software configuration.
- Search for theBlackBerryJavaApplications that you want to add to the software configuration.
- In the search results, select aBlackBerry Java Applicationthat you want to add to the software configuration.
- In theDispositiondrop-down list for theBlackBerry Java Application, perform one of the following actions:
- To install theBlackBerry Java Applicationautomatically onBlackBerryOS devices, and to prevent users from removing the application, clickRequired.
- To permit users to install and remove theBlackBerry Java Application, clickOptional.
- To prevent users from installing aBlackBerry Java ApplicationonBlackBerryOS devices, clickDisallowed.
- In theApplication datasection, in theApplication control policydrop-down list, click an application control policy to apply to theBlackBerry Java Application.
- If necessary, in theDeploymentdrop-down list, perform one of the following actions:
- To install the application onBlackBerryOS devices over the wireless network, clickWireless.
- To install the application onBlackBerryOS devices using a USB connection to the user's computer and theBlackBerry Web Desktop Manager, clickWired.
- Repeat steps 6 to 10 for eachBlackBerry Java Applicationthat you want to add to the software configuration.
