and Android
devices will be upgraded to BlackBerry Edit
, which provides improved functionality for secure document viewing and editing within BlackBerry
Dynamics
.With this upgrade, users will continue to have access to all the features that were available in
BlackBerry Docs To Go
and additional features such as:- Expanded formatting with support for images, shapes, graphs, and charts
- Tracked changes
- Support for wireless printing.Note: The “Allow Printing” option in the App configuration forBlackBerry Editcontrols this feature. By default, this setting is set to off.
- Conversion ofMicrosoft Officefiles to PDF
With this release,
BlackBerry Docs To Go
will change its appearance, icon, and name to BlackBerry Edit
in the Apple
App Store
for iOS
, Google
Play
for Android
, and the BlackBerry UEM
enterprise app store:- No action is required from users if the Automatic Update feature is enabled on theiriOSandAndroiddevices.
- All files that the user stored inBlackBerry Docs To Gobefore the upgrade are available to the user after the upgrade toBlackBerry Edit.
- Users that have the Automatic Update feature disabled on theiriOSandAndroiddevices must initiate the update from the appropriate app store.
- No action is required from administrators on the server side.BlackBerry Enterprise Mobility Suite - Collaboration Edition,BlackBerry Enterprise Mobility Suite - Application Edition, andBlackBerry Enterprise Mobility Suite - Content Edition, which include entitlement forBlackBerry Edit, are not affected.
Ensure that you:
- Notify users in your organization about the upgrade, which includes a change of icon, name, and look ofBlackBerry Docs To Go.
- Distribute the User Guide for theBlackBerry Editapp to help users learn how to useBlackBerry Edit.
