Connect to a source server
You must connect
BlackBerry UEM
to the source server that you are migrating data from. If more than one
BlackBerry Connectivity Node
is activated, make sure that you configure all BlackBerry Connectivity Node
instances to connect to the same source database.If you upgraded your source
BlackBerry UEM
server since the last time you performed a migration, you should recreate the source server configuration before you perform another migration. - In theBlackBerry Connectivity Nodemanagement console, on the menu bar, clickGeneral settings > Migration.
- Click

- In theDisplay namefield, type a descriptive name for the source database.
- In theDatabase serverfield, type the name of the computer that hosts the source database, using the <host>\<instance> format for a dynamic port and the <host>:<port> format for a static port.
- In theDatabase authentication typedrop-down list, select the type of authentication you use to connect to the source database.
- Do one of the following:OptionDescriptionIf you selected SQL authentication
- In theSQL usernameandSQL passwordfields, type your login information to connect to the source database.
- In theDatabase namefield, type the name of the source database.
If you selectedWindowsNT authentication- Change the Log On properties of theBlackBerry UEM-BlackBerry Cloud Connectorservice to the same account you used to install the sourceBlackBerry UEM. For more information about log on accounts, see theMicrosoftTechNet article, Services permissions.After the migration from this source is complete, return the Log On properties setting to Local System account.
- In theDatabase namefield, type the name of the source database.
- ClickSave.
- In theBlackBerry UEMmanagement console, on the menu bar, clickSettings > Migration > Configuration.
- Click

- Type the display name of the source database you configured in theBlackBerry Connectivity Nodemanagement console.
- ClickSave.
- To test the connection between the source and the destination, clickTest connection.
