SMS

 supports secure Short Message Peer-to-Peer (SMPP) connections using SSL/TLS with SMSC (Open Market). Some SMSC/aggregators support SSL/TLS in SMPP connections on ports different from the standard SMPP ports. For example, Open Market uses port 8100 for standard SMPP and port 8143 for TLS/SMPP. SMS supports TLS/SMPP as a client. TLS version 1.2 is enforced by an application server system setting, not in the application.
