Performing a test upgrade of the 
BlackBerry UEM
 and 
BlackBerry Control
 databases

You can perform a test upgrade of the 
BlackBerry UEM
 and 
BlackBerry Control
 databases to help you identify and address issues that might occur during the database upgrade without affecting your production environment. You can also find out how long it takes to upgrade the 
BlackBerry UEM
 and 
BlackBerry Control
 databases. 
To perform a test upgrade of the 
BlackBerry UEM
 and 
BlackBerry Control
 databases, complete the following steps:
  1. Back up the 
    BlackBerry UEM
     database.
  2. Back up the 
    BlackBerry Control
     database.
  3. Restore the backup versions of the 
    BlackBerry UEM
     and 
    BlackBerry Control
     databases to a database server that does not host the 
    BlackBerry UEM
     and 
    BlackBerry Control
     databases.
  4. Run CreateDB using the command prompt window.
