Installation methods
You can choose from the following methods to install the BlackBerry AtHoc desktop app:
- Automatic installation using Microsoft System Center Configuration Manager (SCCM) or similar systems management software product. BlackBerry AtHoc provides arun.batfile that includes themsiexec.execommand line. Work with a BlackBerry AtHoc Implementation Engineer (IE) to determine the values. See Management system desktop app settings for information about the available options.
- Manual installation using MSI with no options, where options are preset and disabled. This is a compile option that must be requested. Installation using arun.batfile is supported with this option. The command line values in therun.batfile override the compiled values.
- Manual installation using MSI, with fields available for manual entry of the Provider ID and Base URL. With this option, the user must know the values and enter them. This is a compile option that must be requested. Installation with therun.batfile is supported with this option. The command line values in therun.batfile override the compiled values.
- Manual installation using MSI. With this option, the user selects from a list of providers. Fields for manual entry of the Provider ID and Base URL are disabled. This is the default option. Installation with therun.batfile is supported with this option. The command line values in therun.batfile override the compiled values.
