Add a member to a workspace, folder, or file
You can add new groups, individuals,
Microsoft Active
Directory
groups, or an email domain to a workspace, folder, or file.You can also add individuals by sharing the workspace, folder, or
file.
- In the content area, select the workspace, folder or file to which you want to add groups, individuals,Active Directorygroups, or an email domain.
- Access thePermissionstab in the left pane.
- Click
. You can choose to add individual users (by email address), an entire email domain (company.com) or an
Active Directorygroup (if your Organization’sBlackBerry Workspacesserver is connected to anActive Directoryserver). - Select the group type:Group,Active Directory Group, orEmail Domain.
- If you selectGroup, enter a group name, group description, and in the group members area, enter email addresses or distribution lists.
- If you selectActive Directory Group, enter theActive Directorygroup name and a description.
- If you selectEmail Domain, enter the Domain name.
- If you selectUser, enter the email addresses of users you want to add and then press ENTER.
- ClickNextto set permissions for the new group.See User roles and permissions for details about the permissions that can be assigned.
- Select theRole. For more information, see Roles.If you set the role of anActive Directorygroup to Administrator, this rolecannotbe changed later. If you set the role of anActive Directorygroup to Contributor or Visitor, the role cannot be changed to Administrator at a later time.
- Select thePermissionlevel. For more information see Permissions.TheAdvanced Rights Managementpermissions set is available forBlackBerry WorkspacesEnterprise ES Mode andBlackBerry WorkspacesEnterprise ES (Restrict Full Access) Mode only. For more information, contact your organization administrator.
- In theFile expirationlist, set the time when the file will no longer be accessible by the recipients. Select a specific date, a time period from the list, or never.If you selectSpecific date, click
and choose the desired date from the calendar.
- In theWatermarklist, set whether workspace PDF files are displayed with a watermark.
- In theCommentlist, selectOnto enable commenting.
- Select if to apply the permission you are giving toThis folder and subitems that inherit permissions only, or select if the permission you are granting will apply toThis folder and all subitems.
- ClickAdd.A confirmation message appears confirming the operation.
